Obama Web Says Losing and Please Smoke?

Today I found myself online watching Barack Obama TV, noticed a “Vote” ad and followed its link. The link was on a sidebar in ChannelChooser.com (next to the embedded TV program) and was created by researchcouncil.com. I chose my answers, typed in my email, and in natural sequence submitted the form. This led to two astonishing things.

  1. The results showed Obama losing to McCain/Palin and Palin as more experienced.
  2. The free T-shirt “vote” ad led to a pro-tobacco survey offering free products.

These “voting” results were promptly displayed at…

RESULTS

Does Sarah Palin have Enough Experience?
Yes x 56%   No x 44%

Does Barack Obama have Enough Experience?
Yes x 45%   No x 55%

Who are you voting for?
Obama x 45%   McCain x 55%

All I wanted was a T-shirt!

But wait! It’s not over yet. After the “vote” thing, I was presented with a pro-tobacco “survey” that suggested it would send out free stuff. hmmmm…

I won’t go dig up the link because as you may know recreating a journey through these awful product-based scams are so well, messed up! Suffice it to say that I was offered tobacco products upon completing the Obama “vote” thing.

I would assume Barack has no idea this is happening. I want to believe that if he had seen what I saw today, right next to his online TV channel, then he would ask as I do — What???
